"DRY WEATHER ROAD" by John Taft

I first learned of "dry weather roads" during one of my many stays in the Sheridan area. This painting is drawn from one such road west of town. It carried the scar of wet weather travel efforts. I wanted to see the scene again the next day and was disappointed to find it had been graded first thing that morning, leaving no trace of wet weather travel. - John Taft
