"FLEETING" by Kasey Nixon

This piece depicts a scene close to my home in Montana. The inspiration came on an unsettled June day, during that brief period where the greens of the countryside are still lush and vivid, and the weather can go from bright sun to massive storm systems and back again. I hoped to capture the tension and energy that builds in the lead up to one of those changes, with the winds whipping the fields, and the light pulsing in and out of shadow with the building clouds.
