“PROVINCIAL FARMHOUSE” by Vanessa Rothe

A beautiful pastoral landscape with iconic French farmhouse in Provence near Roussillon in the Vaucluse region. Rothe, a Franco American artist specializes in landscape and exhibits alongside many of the nations top artists from New York, to Paris to LA. In the foreground springtime wheat in a variety of greens before it turn yellow ochre. The salmon colored farmhouse is actually painted with ochre pigments from the region and nearby hills of Roussillon. Tall trees sway in the wind called the mistral that sweeps through the valley.
