"THE MOUNTAINS ARE CALLING" by Brian Sauerland

The setting for this painting is located on the grounds of the famous Brinton Museum in Big Horn, WY. The specular backdrop of the Big Horn Mountains became an exploration of subtle value and color shifts with pastel. This painting was recently given the Blick Art Materials Award at the Chicago Pastel Painters, Tenth Biennial Member Juried Exhibition in October 2024.
